Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer

B-bloating

E-eating less but feeling full fast

A-abdominal/pelvic pain

A PAP test does not detect ovarian cancer.

If these symptoms persist more that 2 weeks and are getting worse not better see your gynocologist and request additional tests such as a CA-125 and/or Transvaginal Ultrasound

Welcome to my Life After Cancer Blog

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and I am working on setting up a local non-profit to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. I am hoping to be able to speak to women's groups on the Central Coast and educate women about how to listen to their body. Let me know if you are interested in having me present a small awareness talk for your group. I will be posting here about my advocacy and awareness presentations and how you can help empower your friends and family in their own healthcare. Come back and check for updates on my health, advocacy opportunities, what I am learning about having a non-profit, and all things pertaining to life in remission! God is good and in the business of surprise endings. He will sustain me through whatever life throws at me.
Take care,
Karen
